TYPO3 CMS 14.x
History
The TYPO3 v14.x machine images are available at the AWS Marketplace. We published the first sprint release TYPO3 v14.0 as a machine image in December 2025. The long-term support release (TYPO3 version 14.3) is scheduled to April 2026.
TYPO3
According to the official roadmap, the TYPO3 Product Strategy Group has selected the following six high-level objectives for TYPO3 v14:

- Roadmap Objective 3: Lowering the Entry Barrier
- Roadmap Objective 4: Easier Migration and Upgrades

Server and Services
The machine image at the AWS Marketplace comes with the packages listed below installed and configured. Please note that all components can be upgraded, removed, replaced, etc. as required.
Operating System
- Debian GNU/Linux version 13 (code name: "Trixie").
Web Server
- Apache version 2.4, see official documentation.
Database Server
- MariaDB version 11.8, see official documentation.
Depending on the project size, project complexity, and individual use case, we recommend an AWS-managed database instance or cluster such as Amazon Aurora MySQL.
PHP
- PHP version 8.4, see official documentation.
PHP Composer
The TYPO3 installation uses PHP Composer version 2 by default. Today, Composer is the officially recommended method of installing TYPO3.
Other Components

The default TYPO3 configuration uses the ImageMagick software suite.
